An interesting analogy struck me the other day…
“In a way, God and the afterlife is kind of like gravity, aren’t they? It doesn’t matter if you believe in gravity or not. Gravity is a fact. A simple physical law, a force of nature. A person can stand on top of the Empire State Building shouting, I don’t believe in gravity. I can’t see it. I can’t taste it. I can’t touch it. Gravity be damned. And then jump. But what then? Will his lack of believe in gravity cushion his fall? Of course not. He’ll smash on the pavement and die.
Gravity can’t be seen. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. The truth about gravity can be discovered. And isn’t it smarter to discovery gravity before it is too late? So the same is true about God. Maybe it is smarter to find Him before jumping blindly into eternity like a fool without a parachute.”

That’s GREAT and a good way to think about it!
