A stifling hot night in

Posted on Sunday 2 June 2002 by Joshua

A stifling hot night in Goshen at The Post, a cool hangout for teens with a large room for concerts, a sweet iron spiral staircase to a dimly lit basement cafe with booths and Jones soda. The building is actually an old post office, with huge arched windows and tall ceilings pretty cool! Anyway, there was a battle of the bands and All Things Considered was playing, so I went up to give my support. There was one band that was really good – they were a rockabilly band and the bass player actually got up on on his bass while playing. It was sweet. Anyway, I thought ATC was good even though they all thought they sucked. The sound in that room is, shall we say, horrible for the musican (loud for the crowd). Their first song rocked. (Then again, I love their instrumentals.) They did take 3rd place, which was cool. Anyway, it was a good night.

Earlier today, after mowing the grass, I ventured down to the Village at Winona art fair. Although there was the usual crafty clutter, there was a few really cool tents with some awesome photography and pottery.
