This morning I sat with a steaming cup of Irish tea by Brandon Bay, in Castlegregory, Ireland. The air was crisp, the sun was shining and life was good. At least that is what I imagined anyway. Yes folks, it is St. Patrick’s Day and I hope everyone has their green on! I could not find my big Irish tophat, so I had to settle for my Irish baseball cap. So to all my Irish family, I wish them this old Irish blessing:
May there always be work for your hands to do.
May your purse always hold a coin or two.
May the sun always shine on your windowpane.
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
The weather looks lovely! Thank God for the Irish and for my husband… Wait they’re the same. 🙂
happy St Patrick’s day to you josh, you look great in the pic. A sea of green yesterday.

Good morning! I sat with Bea, an elderly Irish woman last night watching Leahy, an Irish group. Her mother was from county Mayo as was my grandparents. Earlier in the day, I met a new lady who is also Irish. We went to a concert where her friend Richard was singing his heart out. Her reminded Ann that they used to sing all the old Irish songs together. I requested that they sing Tura, Lura, Lura, the Irish lullaby. It was a great day at the nursing home.
