autumn

Posted on Thursday 28 September 2006Thursday 28 September 2006 by Joshua

Experiencing autumn at Notre Dame is beautiful. I thought I would share a couple pics… The squirrel was cracking me up. It wasn’t just this guy, it was all of them, jumping up on the cross shaped grave markers and cracking nuts, looking around furtively as if they might get in trouble. As soon as I would approach, they would sacmper off to the safety of a tree and watch to see if I would move away. When I did, it was back to the cross for more nut crackin’ fun.

The swans are beautiful. I hear they are mean… but seeing them gliding silently by on the lake is still a thing of beauty.

In other news, now that Indiana is on Daylight Stupid Time, we have to change our clocks. So everyone, don’t forget to move your clocks back one hour on Saturday, October 29th. The extra hour of sleep will be nice… I won’t complain about that, but the whole concept of DST is just plain silly.

Nice photos. You have to be pretty stealthy to get that close. 🙂

Daylight Savings… I understand it. But it is a pain. I appreciate the rearranging of light to the evening, but I think I could do without. Did for years at Grace, no issues here.

I always thought Indiana was cool for going against the grain on Daylight Savings.

    Losers.

It’s called artificial time. Who wants to be on artificial time?
At least this time we gain an hour.
It happens on my birthday this year. I remember that happening when I lived in Michigan.
Did you know that Rick and I used to live right next to Notre Dame. We used to take the kids on bike rides over there. The campus was much smaller back then….
