Gosh, I haven’t posted in ages… or at least it seems. Life has been so busy of late. The weather has been phenomenal, meaning that I am spending most of my waking hours outside, on lawn mowers, tractors, hay wagons, and driving about the area in trucks without air conditioning.
The Sea Doo is broken for the moment. A hole in the intake manifold has rendered her inoperable for the time being. When I put it in the water last week, I arrived over to the dock to find it not running and filled with water. Thankfully it made it across and did not sink on Robert. That would have been quite tragic. Anyway, the best boat mechanic in Warsaw is on the job and it should be fixed this week. And on a 96 degree day like today, I sure would love being on the water.
Yesterday was a mostly inside day though. While Dave and Liz were away, I painted their office. No, I didn’t paint their office a soothing pleasant color. Dave decided that he wanted it electric green. The color, which I matched almost perfectly to the swatch he provided, is called asparagus. So Dave and Liz, the two health nuts that they are, can drink their InnerLight green slime in their aptly named asparagus office. With all the stuff back in place, it doesn’t look as bad though. I guess maybe that color just causes a strong negative reaction in me… Some colors you like instantly, others you dislike intensely. I guess that is what makes us all different. I am sure Dave will like it (as do Angela, Betty and Michelle). But Corey, Robert and I dislike it. Hmmm… I wonder if it is a girl thing. Then again, Samii stuck her tongue out at it, but she might have been following her dad’s lead.
Right now, I am sitting on a wonderful leather sofa in Granger, IN at the BellaVita coffeeshop. Why I am at a coffeeshop on a 96 degree day? Three reasons: No Sea Doo, Jones soda and free wireless internet… that’s why!
