Happy 54th birthday to my father, Jim, to whom I owe my creative streak as well as my ability to figure stuff out. I am still working on that last one though. Dad also passed on the ability to “water witch” as well as a love for nature and the outdoors. I remember the days of hiking in the Adirondacks, walking through the woods and being so quiet as we walked… not creating commotion or disturbance. Listening to the sounds of nature, smelling the smells of the forests. And the stories… gosh, I think Dad was one of the best story tellers in the world. Growing up, he would often tell us these amazing tales (that always had some sort of spiritual lesson in there). I wish I could remember one now, but I can’t. Dad and Chris recently opened an Adirondack rustic store where they sell rustic furniture and cool chainsaw carvings. This picture is of Matt, me, and Dad at Christmas.
I would love to hike the Adirondacks however I am here in Mass where I will be content hiking my 357 acers for now. Hugs! Happy Birthday Mr. Petrillo!
Nice to see some pics of the dad I have heard about in the past. Would like to hear some of those stories sometime!
