gifts

Posted on Tuesday 20 December 2005 by Joshua

I found this quote on a friend’s away message:

A Muslim man once said, “I would die for my god.” and I replied, “My God died for me.”

Thank you Lord, that my salvation doesn’t have to be earned but that You gave it to me so freely…and gave Yourself as payment.

I tried writing a comment to this about three times…

I appreciate this quote, I do. It is very factual, indeed. A blessing, no doubt. I just hope that it does not further encourage the ignorance American Christians demonstrate towards others.

You are remarkable in the way that you speak without reserve about the truth that you know. Perhaps if we were in each others’ shoes, we would choose to speak differently on these issues.

Yeah, I would agree…I would say that to God as well…Seems to be no need, other than a personal thought, to make that statment!
