I wrote this in September 2005.
“The summer has officially ended for me. The Sea Doo has come out of the water and is now comfortably resting in the garage. Ugh… that means winter is quickly approaching… the snow, the bitter cold… why is it again that I live in Indiana? I just pray for a nice long fall.”
I laughed when I read that because I was thinking about writing something very similar. The SeaDoo came out of the water on Saturday and that means the lake season is officially done for 2007. It was a great summer. I spent more time out on the lake this year than the past previous summers, and was able to take quite a variety of people out on the water too. I never did get Dave Carey out on the lake, but we did ride the Winona trails one last time before they left.
The leaves are beginning to turn, and as I type this, the thermometer reads 55. It’s time to start wearing those long sleeve t-shirts and packing away the shorts. Normally, I would say it is time to start drinking hot chocolates, but currently I am staying away from those for a bit. It has been 2 weeks now since I have had sugar of any kind. Not an easy chore given the fact that there is so much else that I can’t have. Because I have been reading this book (which shall remain nameless because it is not mine and the person to whom it belongs has not yet read it even though she gave it to me many months ago *cough – January – cough* ) and it is impressing upon me how bad sugar is for you and how much damage it has done to our country over the past hundred years. I will write more on this issue later I am sure. In the mean time, herbal tea is wonderful! Cheers.
I am enjoying the benefits of Cane Juice and Cane Sugar, although I haven’t done much reading on the harm of either one yet… I do know that it is a far cry better than refined white sugar. Anyway, after you return the book to the owner, maybe I could read it.

hmmm… benefits would not be the word i would choose. affects, stimulation, natural high – those would be more appropriate! 🙂
Was that 5 years ago? or two? Anyway, way to go gettin’ off the sugar bandwagon. I’m still going strong on the NO STARBUCKS! THEY’RE FROM HELL! campaign. I’m totally decaffeinated 🙂
